Alabama enters the game against ULL with a 4-0 record while ULL enters the game with a 1-2. However, everybody knows the story isn’t about the game, it’s about what’s Coach Saban’s going to do with Jalen Hurts. Here are 4 possible solutions to the problem.
1. Jalen Hurts stays on the sidelines and doesn’t play unless he has to.
That could work. Unless Tua’s having a bad day or is injured, Jalen Hurts wouldn’t have to play and waste a year of his eligibility.
2. Jalen Hurts plays some snaps but remains the backup for this year and then declares for the draft.
It probably won’t happen. The NFL wouldn’t take Hurts. They’d want he be running back or some other position.
3. Jalen Hurts plays some snaps but remains backup for this year and transfers.
As strange as it sounds, that might be what he’s doing. Hurts might be staying to get some playing time with Alabama and to get the coaches advice on how to improve and then leave. If you think about, it doesn’t make much sense, however, that’s what might be happening.
4. Jalen Hurts plays some snaps but remains backup for this year and then tries to compete for the starting job next year.
If Alabama wins the championship while led by Tagovailoa then you can just forget this one. However, if they don’t, Jalen Hurts could compete to be the starting quarterback and could possibly win.
Now for the game preview of Alabama vs ULL.
Alabama is clearly the better team and had better win by at least 40-points. In fact, it would be terrible if Alabama didn’t win by at least 45-points. My prediction is that Alabama will win 56-3. Alabama could win this game with Mac Jones at quarterback.
