Tim Tebow, who was invited to Major League Spring Training by the New York Mets, missed the first few games due to an ankle sprain. It was announced on Sunday that Tebow had sprained his ankle and was out day to day after stepping on a sprinkler head in the outfield during practice. The injury was not as bad as it could have been, and Tebow was listed as an extra for today’s game against Houston.
Even though he was listed as an action, he was brought as a pinch hitter. Tebow went 0 for 2 with on strike out. His performance might not sound great. However, this is his first game back after suffering an injury and he only went up to bat two times. Tebow is listed on the Mets’ travel roster for tomorrow.
