There Was a Bribing Scandal in LSU, But Who Was Bribed? (Please Note: This Article is a THEORY And I Have NO Evidence to Back This Up.)

LSU’s Basketball Head Coach Will Wade, as everybody knows, was suspended by LSU due to, what is believed to be, a bribing scandal involving another LSU player. But was that really what happened?

The Theory

LSU’s President F. King Alexander and Athletic Director Joe Alleva suspended their coach right before the SEC Tournament started with zero evidence of any wrongdoing. This Sunday is Selection Sunday. Why would they do that? There are probably many possibilities but the one that stands out is that the president and the athletic director were bribed.

The theory is this: LSU was bribed, probably by an SEC team or just an NCAA Tournament bound team, somewhere in the range of $5M to $20M to keep Head Coach Will Wade out of the SEC Tournament and the NCAA Tournament. The thought process for the team that bribed LSU is this:

I. LSU is a high seeded team with great players and we may have to play them.

II. If we can keep their coach from the game and cause as much distractions as possible then the players won’t have a great leader and  either will be knocked out early or if we play them we will easily beat them.

Of course, the LSU players would hate the president and athletic director and transfer if they found out, and the NCAA would impose heavy fines on LSU’s basketball program and the other team. So LSU and whoever the were involved with had to be super quiet about this and get the coach in trouble.

Reasons Behind the Theory

While I don’t have any evidence, there’s a lot of logic to back it up.

I. Remember, the NCAA didn’t suspend Wade, LSU did.

II. Afterwards, LSU wanted to meet Wade with NCAA officials even though Wade didn’t want the officials at the meeting.

III. There’s ZERO PROOF of WRONGDOING.

IV. The point is, no team suspends their head coach before their conference tournament, especially not the team that has the first seed in the tournament. It ended by LSU losing to Florida in the quarterfinals 76-73, a team they should have beaten.

Not only does it harm the players to loss their coach, it also is a distraction. LSU’s president and athletic director had to have a reason to do this. So the obvious reason is that they were bribed. And as I said before, this would involve another team too. Most likely another SEC team.

Anyway, that’s what I believe happened and you can belive me or not. But if you think I’m nuts, then just go do some research on all the other millions of NCAA scandals and you’ll realize how sane my scenario really is.
