The Penguins just traded away Ian Cole and Ryan Reaves, 2 great players. The Penguins gave Ian Cole to the Senators and Ryan Reaves to the Golden Knights, the newest and one of the best teams in the NHL. The Penguins got Senators’ star Derick Brassard. Brassard has 18 goals and 20 assists on the season with the Senators.
Ian Cole won 2 Stanley Cups with the Penguins (2016,2017) and Ryan Reaves is a player the Penguins got in a trade before the season. Ryan Reaves was a very physical player with the Penguins and made huge hits. I don’t think that the Penguins should have traded Reaves. However, the Penguins general manager Jim Rutherford as made weird roster moves before, so I’m sure he knows what he’s doing. Thanks again Ian Cole and Ryan Reaves for your success with Pittsburgh. Ian Cole played a big role in the Penguins back-to-back Stanley Cups and Ryan Reaves, in his limited time in Pittsburgh (less than a season), played great and was a very accurate shooter.
