Steelers 1: It’s hard to argue the Cowboys and Patriots. But, with so much talent in the 3 Bs (Le’Veon Bell, Antonio Brown, and Ben Roethlisberger), it’s harder to argue against the Steelers. Also, Martavis Bryant is coming back this year and the Steelers are building a good enough Defense to give the Offense time with the ball.
Cowboys 2: The Cowboys have a case for the most talented roster in the league. Dak Prescott, Ezekiel Elliot, and Dez Bryant are three great players. Still, I think the Steelers have a better QB, RB, and WR combination than the Cowboys. The Defense is good, but the Offense is great.
Patriots 3: Shocking, I know. The Patriots are a dominant team that deserves respect throughout the league, but they lost Legarrette Blount who ran for a league leading 18 touchdowns. No player on the Patriots stands out to me. Tom Brady is not the greatest QB in terms of throwing, they don’t have a great running crew even with Blount, the receivers aren’t the best, and the Defense isn’t great. The only player who stands out to me is their Tight End Rob Gronkowski. But, I guess what makes them a great team is they “do their job well”.
Seahawks 4: With the Seahawks it’s more about the Defense. Richard Sherman, Kam Chancellor, and Michael Bennett are a great Defensive combination. Going to the Offense the main player we see is Russell Wilson. The Seahawks run game has rapidly degraded since Marshawn Lynch left. The Defense is still intact and so is the crowd. The Seahawks just need to find another beast mode and then they’d be right back over the Patriots.
Raiders 5: The Raiders have a quarterback with the skills to be amazing. The Raiders also were able to get Marshawn Lynch from the Seahawks. Thier Defense, led by Khial Mack, is great.
Titans 6: QB Marcus Mariota, Running Backs Demarco Murray and Derrick Henry, what more does this team need. Mariota and Henry are both Heisman Trophy winners. The Titans, with the 5th pick, drafted star WR Corey Davis adding to their already super team. With the 18th pick the Titans selected another star, this time at CB, Adoree Jackson. The main thing that bugs me is the lack of Defense. Jurrell Casey, Adoree Jackson, and Brian Orakpo are the only names that stand out to me on the Titans Defense. The Titans came close to the playoffs last year, this year I’m confident that they’ll make it.
Broncos 7: One person is going to bring the Broncos to the playoffs, Von Miller. Von Miller is a player I’ve always respected. The Broncos Defense may be the best Defense in the league. Their Offense, however, needs work. Nobody stands out to me at receiver nor tight end, at running back, however, a name does stand out to me, Jamaal Charles. Jamaal Charles is a future Hall of Fame player. The Super Bowl 50 Champs are going to the playoffs, but probably not as far as the Conference Championship or the Super Bowl.
Buccaneers 8: Jamies Winston can do it all. Like the Titans, they have a successful Heisman Trophy winning QB. Another player who stands out on this team is CB Brent Grimes. The NFC South has not had a consistent division leader. Why can’t this year be the Bucs turn? I don’t see why not. They have a good QB and a great receiving crew in Mike Evans and Desean Jackson. Also at TE they drafted O.J. Howard. This year is the Bucs year to win the NFC South.
Giants 9: The Giants are one of the best teams in the NFC, the thing that worries me is Eli Manning’s age. He has a couple of years left but only a couple. Eli Manning at 36 years isn’t really slowing down but the team is, Manning has nothing to prove and if the Giants don’t do well this year he may consider retiring. If the Giants want to keep Eli Manning they have to step up.
