Tua Tagovailoa scored 3 touchdowns, 2 passing and 1 running. Alabama’s entire team made the difference in this game. At first I was going say that it was the Tua and the running game. Then I remembered what a big part Alabama’s receivers played in this game and that the defense got a shutout. Also, Alabama had a couple of good punts and, despite missing 2 of 4 extra points, Kicker Joseph Bullovas made his only field goal, a 23-yard kick. If you think I’m nuts for celebrating a 23-yard field goal then you haven’t been keeping up with how bad Alabama has been doing in the kicking game. Still, overall it was a great game.
Alabama totally shutdown all of LSU’s offense. LSU Quarterback Joe Burrow went 18-35, 184-yards and 1 interception. The interception was on LSU’s last drive. Joe Burrow threw the football into the endzone and it was intercepted by Mack Wilson. Wilson dived out to catch the football and saved Alabama’s shutout.
Alabama could not have had a better game to clinch the SEC West than a victory like this against LSU, well maybe the could’ve had a better game had Bullovas made all his extra points, but we’ll forget about that for right now.
Alabama Running Back Damien Harris ran 19 times for 107-yards and a touchdown. Alabama’s rushing game combined for 37-carries, 281-yards, and 2 touchdowns. LSU’s rushing game combined for 25-carries, 12-yards, and no touchdowns. LSU’s leading rusher, Clyde Edwards-Helaire, ran 6 times for 14-yards.

Tua Tagovailoa has 27 passing touchdowns, 3 rushing touchdowns, and only 1 interception this season, Tagovailoa threw that interception against LSU. Also, that interception lead to a touchdown. LSU caught the interception at their own for yardline and couldn’t move the football, in fact, the Burrow was almost sacked for a safety, so they punted. Alabama started the drive at their own 46-yardline and Tua finished the short drive with a 29-yard touchdown pass to Jerry Jeudy.
