Rangers Should Trade For Ovechkin

The New York Rangers just one for the fifth consecutive time. Their record is now 8-7-2. The Rangers have played with speed and energy. However, the Rangers could add another player to the already talented lineup. Ovechkin is that player.

The Rangers trading for Ovechkin would take a mega trade. This trade would likely have to involve multiple teams. Here is my trade scenario:

1. The Rangers send a first round, a second round, and Lias Anderson to the Islanders for Cam Talbot

2. Cam Talbot is traded to the Flames for Jagr and a third round pick

3. The Rangers trade Tony DeAngelo, Jagr, and a third round pick to the Golden Knights for Malcolm Subban and a fifth round pick

4. The Capitals trade Brandon Holtby and a third round pick to the Tampa Bay Lightning for Nikita Kucherov

5. The Predators trade PK Subban to the Penguins for Phil Kessel and a fourth round pick

6. The Predators trade Phil Kessel, a first round pick, and a fourth round pick to the Oilers for Connor McDavid

7. The Penguins trade PK Subban, Tristan Jarry, and two first round picks to the Capitals for Alex Ovechkin

8. The Rangers trade Malcolm Subban and a fifth round pick to the Capitals for TJ Oschie

9. The Predators trade Connor McDavid and a second round pick to the Capitals for Nikita Kucherov and a third round pick

10. The Penguins trade Evgeni Malkin to the Redwings for Trevor Daley and two first round picks

11. The Predators trade Nikita Kucherov and a third round pick to the Penguins for Kris Letang and Trevor Daley

12. The Rangers trade Kevin Hayes, TJ Oschie, and a sixth round pick to the Penguins for Alex Ovechkin and Ryan Reaves
