List of Possible Trades the Penguins Could Make This Summer.

Every year the Pens make at least 1 trade during the summer. Of course, since I’m a Penguins fan and I know a lot about all their players, I don’t like to see players leave. However, to get good players you have to trade good players, so here goes.

1st Set of Predicted Trades.

1. The Penguins trade Bryan Rust, their 2nd Round Pick for 2018, the Ottowa Senators’ 3rd Round Pick for 2018 that the Pens acquired in the trade for Derrick Brassard, the Penguins 6th Round Pick for 2018, the Penguins 7th Round Pick for 2018, and Matt Hunwick to the Kings for Anze Kopitar, the Kings 1st Round Pick for 2018, the Kings 4th Round Pick for 2018, and Daniel Brickley.

2. The Penguins trade their 5th Round Pick to the Vancouver Canucks for Jordan Subban.

3. The Penguins trade Casey DeSmith, Josh Jooris, and Chad Ruhwedel to the Golden Knights for Malcolm Subban and the Golden Knights 5th Round Pick for 2018.

End of 1st Set of Predicted Trades.

Note: Each set of trades are independent of each other.

2nd Set of Predicted Trades.

1. The Penguins trade Conner Sheary or Bryan Rust, their 2nd Round Pick for 2018, and Matt Hunwick to the Rangers for Mats Zuccarello and the Rangers First Round Pick for 2018.

3rd Set of Predicted Trades (The Wildest One Ever)

1. The Penguins for Phil Kessel, Carl Hagelin, Zachory Auston-Reese, the Penguins 2nd Round Pick for 2018, Bryan Rust, Conner Sheary, and Matt Hunwick to the Predators for P.K. Subban, Roman Josi, the Predators 4th Round Pick for 2018, and Nick Bonino. (Okay, that was a little bit over the top.)

Other players that I seriously tried to find trade scenarios where the Penguins could trade for them but couldn’t come up with one.

1. Dustin Byfuglien, Winnipeg Jets

2. Drew Doughty, Los Angeles Kings

3. Evander Kane, San Jose Sharks

4. John Tavares,  New York Islanders
