The Pittsburgh Steelers running back, Le’Veon Bell, was reportedly offered a contract that would give him over 12 million dollars a year. Le’Veon Bell declined the offer, making him play under a franchise tag giving him 12.1 million for 1 year. Le’Veon Bell later said that he’s worth more to the Steelers than what they offered. Just how much more? Le’Veon Bell said he wanted to be paid like a No.1 RB and a No.2 WR. Le’Veon Bell broke the Steelers franchise record for most rushing yards in a postseason game in his first game postseason. In Le’Veon Bell’s second postseason game he broke the record again. The record currently stands at 170 rushing yards. That held by Le’Veon Bell. Le’Veon Bell had a groin injury that was hurting throughout the postseason. In the Conference Championship Le’Veon Bell went down with an injury in the first half. Throughout the game the Steelers rapidly fell apart. The Steelers lost the game to the Patriots 37-19. The two games that Le’Veon Bell completed they won. 30-12 vs. the Dolphins. 18-16 vs. the Chiefs. Against the Dolphins Le’Veon Bell also scored two rushing touchdowns. That season, the Steelers players and coaches voted Bell the Steelers team MVP. Bell also was ranked the ninth best player on the “Top 100” (which is also voted on by players and coaches). Le’Veon Bell in four years has been voted twice for team MVP. Both times Bell was team MVP, Bell rushed for over 1250 yards and received for over 600 yards. Personally, I think that the Steelers need Bell and should pay him 15 million a year.
