Happy Veterans Day. Rocky Bleier: Vietnam Veteran, 4x Super Bowl Champion.

Since today is Veterans Day,  I figured that I should write an article on Rocky Bleier. Rocky Bleier fought for America in the Vietnam war. In the war, he was shot  in the left thigh by an enemy rifle. While Bleier was on the ground an enemy grenade landed nearby sending shrapnel into his left leg. He also lost part of his right foot in the explosion. Rocky Bleier was drafted by the Steelers in the 16th round of the 1968 NFL Draft shortly before he was drafted into the army. While in the hospital after his injury, the doctors told him that he would never play football again. Despite what the doctors said, Rocky return to the Steelers for official practices in 1970. He later won the Bronze Star and the Purple Heart. When he was with the Steelers he won 4 Super Bowls, catching a touchdown in one and recovering the Cowboys’ onside kick to give the Steelers the victory in another. Bleier also doesn’t agree with the anthem protests, saying that “it never should have gotten to this point”. Rocky Bleier has a strong case for the Hall of Fame.

Thank You For Your Service Rocky Bleier.
