The New York Rangers were eliminated from the playoffs by the Ottawa Senators on Tuesday night. However, the Rangers played hard and fought to the very end.
The Rangers had a strong regular season finishing as the number one team on the road. In the playoffs, the Rangers had a 2-4 away record and a 4-2 home record. In the second round, the Rangers scored first in each of the first five games of the series. Throughout the series and especially in the last game, the Rangers played strong, hard, and full of speed and energy. Throughout the playoffs, the Rangers appeared to much faster than the teams they faced having many break always and short handed opportunities. Also, Lundqvist was steadily amazing, like always, throughout the whole playoffs. The Rangers played in twelve playoff games. They won six of them. Some teams did not even play in five. Next year the New York Rangers will be as strong as ever. I think the Rangers will be back in the playoffs ready to win the Stanley Cup next season.
