Alabama QB Situation: Jalen Hurts vs. Tua Tagovailoa? I Doubt It.

Jalen Hurts has proven throughout his 2 seasons with Alabama to be an amazing athlete. But more than that, this year he’s also proven to be a leader. I don’t care if you agree with me or not but this is something which I can easily prove. Alabama wouldn’t be where they are right now if they didn’t have the guy who only threw one interception during the whole season and none during the playoffs, the guy who bulldozed over defenses gaining 1809 yards on the ground in only 2 years, who threw for 17 touchdowns this year and 40 touchdowns over his 2 years. I’m not going to take anything away from Tua, all I’m doing is giving Jalen the credit he deserves, not the ranting about him changing his position or transferring just because the Tide has another good Quarterback.
Alabama’s probably going to rotate Jalen Hurts and Tua Tagovailoa in and out the lineup. The way I look at it is that different teams have different styles so when Alabama is playing a team like Georgia, Tua Tagovailoa is a better choice to play Quarterback than Jalen Hurts. But when their playing teams like LSU, Ole Miss, and Texas A&M, teams that I don’t have a high opinion of on stopping the run, Jalen Hurts should start at Quarterback.
Now let’s talk about Tua. Tua’s obviously too good to keep on the bench for most of the game. So I think that either Jalen and Tua are going to each get 6 of the 12 games, or split time in each game. Tua Tagovailoa and Jalen Hurts are both elite Dual-Threat Quarterbacks so I don’t see why any of them should leave the best football college in the country or change their position.
